Hey everybody,

I wanted to share with you some of the latest news in my neck of the wood. My new album Abyss is completed and will come out on September 8th in France. I am very excited about starting a new chapter in with this new music. You may listen to samples on my MySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/gwoka.

In the meanwhile, I am keeping busy. I have written horn arrangements for John Legend, D'angelo and Black Stamp -this new soul and hip hop project featuring Talib Kweli.

More recently, I have produced two tracks with a young singer/song writer from Guadeloupe named Sebastien Drumeaux. He has a fragile voice à la Van Morrison, and his writing is as stellar as Meshell's with a little caribbean flavor. If this guy turns into a major artist, don't be surprised...

Also I am about to record with Etienne Charles. Thsi young trumpet player from Trinidad has graduated from the world class Juliard School of Music. He sounds as brilliant as a young Wynton Marsalis and his composing is uniquely beautiful. He is one to watch!!!!!

On another note, I am working with my mother on a project to turn my late father's house into a Cultural Center dedicated to black and jewish cultures. This project means a lot for my mother, as well as for my brother and myself.
